WSQ Manage Work At Height (MWAH)
Overview
Manage work‐at‐heights course is a 3 in 1 working at height for Supervisors, Assessors or Managers in Singapore.WSH (Work at Heights) Regulations 2013 stipulates that: “It shall be the duty of the responsible person to ensure that no person shall work at height in a workplace unless he has received adequate training on work at height.”
Participants who are Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR) sponsored by Company or Individuals are eligible for the Skills Development Fund (SDF) Funding administrated by the SkillsFuture Singapore Agency (SSG). Individuals can however apply for SkillsFuture Credits to pay for their training (only applicable for Singaporeans aged 25 and above). For further informations, log on to myskillsfuture.gov.sg.

- Fall Control Measures
- Fall Prevention Plan (FPP) & its components, including emergency response for WAH Implementation and Monitoring Programme
Practical:
Individual Fall Protection equipment and First line Response in emergency Assessment: 35 Multiple Choice Questions & 2 out of 5 Scenario based questions Practical
Course Objective
By the end of the course, the participants would be able to:
- Identify, explain and apply the relevant Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Legislations /Approved Code of Practice / Singapore Standards applicable to Work‐at‐Heights (WAH)
- Identify and explain the Roles & Responsibilities of stakeholders, competent and responsible persons.
- Identify hazards, evaluate the risk, and implement control measures for WAH activities
- Review the necessary fall preventive / protective control measures for safe execution of WAH activities
- Establish, evaluate, review and implement a Fall Prevention Plan
For Whom
The course is for anyone involved in the supervision, planning assessment or management of work‐at‐height activities.
Entry Requirement
Learners are assumed to have at least WSQ ESS Workplace Literacy and Numeracy Level 4 and above or equivalent and the ability to carry out hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control measures.

Upon successful completion of the Course, a “Statement of Attainment” (SOA) from SSG, and a card from Global Training Services, will be issued to all participants.

Coretrade
Construction Registration of Tradesmen, or CoreTrade, is a registration scheme administered by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) for skilled and experienced construction personnel in the various key construction trades.
As MOM require, all construction firms must have at least 10% of their work permit holders (WPHs) to be qualified as “Higher Skilled” R1 workers. Construction personnel registered under the Multi-skilling Scheme are qualified as “Higher Skilled” R1 workers under the Ministry of Manpower (MOM)’s Foreign Worker Levy Scheme.

1) Have two (2) recognised Skills Evaluation Certiifcate [ SEC/SEC(K) ] of different trades
2) Have a minimum of four (4) years of construction experience in Singapore

2) Have a minimum of six (6) years of construction experience in Singapore;
3) Completed 120 hours of training in approved safety-related courses.

1) One (1) Skills Evaluation Certificate [ SEC/SEC(K) ]
2) Have a minimum of six (6) years of construction experience in Singapore.
3) Obtained WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health.

No, it is only available for construction worker and over 4 years constryction experience in Singapore
The Direct R1 Scheme was implemented, on 1 Sep 2015, to provide another alternative pathway for the industry to upgrade their construction workers. It allows those who pass the Skills Evaluation Certificate (Knowledge), SEC(K), test at higher skill level and draw a fixed monthly salary of $1,600 or more, to be considered as R1 (Higher Skilled) workers; under the Ministry of Manpower Tiered-Levy Scheme.
