All workers (both foreign workers and local workers) in the construction industry are required to attend and pass the Construction Safety Orientation Course (CSOC) to ensure that they have the necessary knowledge and skills to work safely.

You can do so easily by getting your workers’ NRIC details, FIN details or Work Permit number (for those workers who are on work permit). You are able to check if your workers have completed courses such as Supervise Manufacturing Work for WSH or Basic Industrial Safety and Health Course (BISH).

The CSOC course is a two-day course incorporating a new experiential practical training and assessment component.

With effect from 1 November 2022, experiential learning will be introduced as part of the training curriculum for this course for all new and existing construction workers who fail their recertification tests.

After you have completed and passed your CSOC assessment, you wil be able to renew your CSOC safety pass, with an extension of 2 or 4 years, depending on your work experience in the industry.
